Reach your Windows computer while you’re away

Set up unattended remote access with Deskbat. Connect to an awake Windows PC using its computer password, including while Windows is locked.

Unattended access lets you connect without someone approving each request at the remote computer. Its owner sets a separate Deskbat computer password and controls whether incoming connections are available.

Useful for your own computers and trusted support

  • Open an application on your office computer while working elsewhere.
  • Help maintain a computer when its owner is away from the screen.
  • Connect while Windows is locked, then use normal Windows sign-in.

What must stay available

The Windows computer must be powered on, awake, online and running Deskbat. A locked computer can remain available. A display that has turned off to save power is different from a computer that is asleep or shut down. Deskbat cannot promise a connection to an offline computer.

Set up access once

  1. Install the latest Windows release and sign in.
  2. Open This computer and set up unattended access with a unique computer password.
  3. Check sharing and startup readiness on that computer.
  4. From your viewing device, choose the computer or enter its ID, then enter the computer password.

Stay in control

A verified Deskbat account is required. A trusted person outside your workspace can also connect by ID with the unattended password, so treat that password as an access credential. End a session to finish the current connection; Pause sharing stops incoming access. Locking Windows does not revoke unattended access.
