Connect while Windows is locked
Check unattended readiness, connect to a locked Windows PC and complete normal Windows sign-in.
Requirements
- The installed Windows app is current and running.
- The computer is awake and online.
- Unattended access is configured and sharing is not paused.
- You have permission to use the computer and its normal Windows sign-in credentials.
Connect and sign in
- Choose the computer or enter its Deskbat ID on your viewing device.
- Use its unattended-access password. A manual approval request needs someone at the host.
- Wait for the Windows lock or sign-in screen. Use the remote input controls to dismiss the lock screen and enter Windows credentials.
- Keep Windows credentials inside the remote sign-in flow. Do not send them in a support email.
If the screen appears but input does not work
Check that the session allows control rather than view-only access. Update both sides, end the failed session and try a fresh connection. If clicks or keys still fail, note whether the problem is only on the lock screen or also after local sign-in. Include the diagnostic reference and time in a support request.
